Debbie began practicing yoga 30 years ago in 1979. She was on the high school gymnastics team at the time; balance beam was her favorite event.  Yoga immediately enhanced her effectiveness as a competitor, as it increased her balance, strength, focus, and flexibility.  In addition to her yoga practice, in the 1990’s Debbie taught step aerobics and achieved red glove status as a Savate kick-boxer.

In 2001, Debbie began teaching yoga after obtaining her YogaFit certification.  That same year she formed Conscious Flow, Inc., a personal and professional training and development company.

Debbie has studied yoga with some of the world’s most notable yoga teachers, including Saul David Rae, Shiva Rae, and Sara Powers. Her main practice, however, is her home practice, which she encourages her students to cultivate on their own.

• Received “Outstanding Probation Volunteer” award from the Orange County Probation Department for her work teaching yoga to incarcerated youth (March, 2010)
• Wrote and illustrated, “The Deeper the Roots, the Juicier the Fruits! 8 Spiritual Practices for a Juicy Life” (2008)
• Platform Excellence Award, National Speakers Association Greater Los Angeles.  Her winning presentation included a yoga series with advanced inversions while speaking (2005)
